Are Copper Hair Tones Right for my look?

Changing up your hair with copper tones is a great way to freshen up your style. Here are some of the reasons you should consider warming up your hair color:

Bri Thompson, hair stylist at Sway Salon in Roeland Park, KS. Bri opted to go with a ginger look for her latest hairstyle.

The Ginger Look

I opted for copper tones with my latest hairstyle. I chose to go ginger, but there are a wide array of copper tone options.

1.  Enhancing Hair Texture: Copper hair color has the potential to enhance the texture and dimension of your hair. The multidimensional tones can add depth and dimension to your locks, making them appear thicker and fuller.

2. Warmth and Radiance: Copper tones can bring warmth and radiance to your complexion. The rich red and orange hues can add a lively and glowing effect to your hair, brightening up your face and enhancing your features. Specific skin tones include:

  • Fair Skin: Copper hair can create a striking contrast with fair or light skin tones. The warm, reddish tones of copper can add warmth to the complexion and create a beautiful balance. Fair skin with cool undertones can especially benefit from the warmth of copper hair.

  • Medium Skin: Medium skin tones, whether they lean towards warm or cool undertones, can generally carry off copper hair quite well. The vibrant red-orange hues of copper can complement and enhance the natural warmth in medium skin tones, creating a lively and radiant look.

  • Olive Skin: Copper hair can be a fantastic choice for those with olive skin tones. The warm undertones in copper can harmonize with the greenish or yellowish undertones in olive skin, resulting in a stunning combination. The contrast between the reddish hair and the olive complexion can be visually appealing.

3. Low Maintenance: Copper hair color often fades gracefully, requiring less frequent touch-ups compared to other hair colors. As the color gradually fades, it can transition into a softer and more natural-looking shade.

4. Complementing Eye Colors: Copper hair can beautifully complement a range of eye colors. The warm tones of copper can bring out the richness in brown eyes, make green eyes appear more vibrant, and even create a striking contrast with blue or gray eyes.

5. Vibrant and Unique Look: Copper hair color is distinct and eye-catching. It can add vibrancy and a touch of uniqueness to your overall appearance. It stands out among more common hair colors and can make a bold statement.
