Your Yearlong Plan for great hair with “Lived-in” Color

Lived-In Color is awesome if you want beautiful natural looking hair, but also want low-maintenance. Of course a lot of you already know this, because you’ve been in my chair for a Lived-In appointment! While Lived-In Color is low maintenance, you will still benefit from periodic services that extend the life and freshness of your color. That’s why I decided to share a year-long Lived-In Color plan with all of you:

  1. Initial Lived-In Color Appointment - Together, we will figure out what look is going to be best for you.  After we agree on a desired outcome, I will use a combination of balayage, highlights, and lowlights to give you a customized blend.  Once complete, your hair will have depth and dimension while still looking natural. (Appointment Time is 3-4 hours)

  2. Color Gloss - A gloss does so many things for your hair color. The number one reason to get a gloss is to control any unwanted tones, like brassiness. Additionally, glosses increase shine, refresh your color, enhance dimension, extend the life of color, and condition your hair.  If you are looking for an easy way to keep your color vibrant for longer, you’ll definitely want to make an appointment for a gloss.  Schedule 8-12 weeks after your initial appointment.  (Appointment time is ~1.5 hours)

  3. Touch-Up - Lived-in color is intended to last for a long time, but eventually your roots will start to show.  You’ll want to schedule a touch-up to keep your roots blended with your initial hair color.  In particular we may focus on your Money Piece, to keep your most visible hair looking fresh. Schedule 8-12 weeks after your first gloss.  (Appointment Time is 2-3 hours)

  4. Color Gloss - I’ve gone over the benefits of a gloss above.  A gloss will control unwanted tones and extend the life of your touch-up, just like it did for the initial appointment.  Schedule 8-12 weeks after your touch-up. (Appointment time is ~1.5 hours)

  5. Trims - I didn’t mention trims yet, because they would typically be included during the first four appointments.  If the above plan doesn’t work for you, I would still highly encourage coming in for a trim every 8-12 weeks.  Periodically trimming off dry or split ends is very important to the overall health of your hair. (Appointment time is ~45 minutes)

There is your year-long plan to get the most out of your Lived-In Color.  Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about your specific hair type or what your next step should be.
